Ryal Burl was bowled by Maheesh Theekshana - ICCSri Lanka defeated Zimbabwe by nine wickets to qualify for the ICC World Cup 2023 in India. During the ICC World Cup Qualifier in Bulawayo on Sunday, Sri Lanka chased down a modest target of 166 runs in 33.1 overs.
Opener Pathum Nissanka scored a brilliant unbeaten century, 101 off 102, to guide the Islanders to victory. The win helped Sri Lanka stay at the top of table in the Super Six stage with eight points. The competition for the last two spots for the Cricket World Cup is now between three teams — Zimbabwe, Scotland and the Netherlands — after West Indies and Oman were knocked out the race.
